ECR2P Co-Director, Dr Cristina Stefan, Participates in Dialogue and Consultations on the R2P and Atrocity Prevention in Brussels
Our ECR2P Co-Director, Dr. Cristina Stefan, has recently engaged in consultations and multi-stakeholders dialogue in Brussels, at the EU’s European External Action Service and also with the UN Office for Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect. Constructive conversations with the UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Mr Adama Dieng, included exploring ways to consolidate the UN-EU-researchers cooperation on the topics of R2P and atrocity prevention. The meetings in Brussels took place the very week the EU’s Atrocity Prevention Toolkit was launched, to mark EU’s further commitment to R2P and atrocity prevention.
