ECR2P Co-Director, Dr Cristina Stefan, participates in roundtable discussion on UN Peace & Security and Humanitarian Action

Date

Our ECR2P Co-Director, Dr Cristina Stefan, took part in the expert roundtable discussion on UN Peace & Security and Humanitarian Action, which was scheduled on March 4th 2021 alongside the virtual public forum aimed at facilitating independent reflection as a contribution to the UN Secretary-General’s Our Common Agenda report. This event was organized by The Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Stimson Center, the Academic Council on the UN System (ACUNS), Plataforma CIPÓ and Leiden University.

On 21 September 2020, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration on the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations (UN75 Declaration), which outlines a vision and twelve distinct commitments toward enhancing international cooperation and strengthening coordination and global governance. The UN75 Declaration tasks the UN Secretary-General to report back by September 2021 “with recommendations to advance our common agenda and to respond to current and future challenges.”
