ECR2P Research Director, Dr Adrian Gallagher, Participates in Event Commemorating 70th Anniversary of the UDHR & Genocide Convention

On Monday 10th December, our Research Director, Dr Adrian Gallagher, participated in an event to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Genocide Convention. The event, organised by the Human Rights Journal at the University of Leeds, welcomed a panel of world-leading experts to discuss the question: ‘are human rights a Western concept?’ The panel included Dr Adrian Gallagher - an expert on the study of mass violence , Dr Kingsley Edney – an expert on the politics of China, and Dr Adriaan van Klinken – a specialist on the topic of the relationship between religion and human rights.
